Black college students hit by Katrina get help

More than 9,100 university and college students throughout the Gulf Coast region are expected to get additional help through relocation to other schools and other aid, according to National Association for Equal Opportunity in Higher Education, which distributed this news release. Meantime, Texas Southern University (TSU) opened its doors to more than 400 students from regions affected by Hurricane Katrina and catastrophic floods.
